Rakeback
A share of the house edge you generate returned to you, paid on every wager whether it wins or loses. Calculated as stake multiplied by house edge multiplied by your rakeback rate. The only VIP term that compounds with volume.
House edge
The mathematical margin the casino holds on a given game. Around 1% on originals like dice and crash, 3–6% on most slots. It determines both your expected loss and how much rakeback your play generates.
Cashback
A share of your net loss returned over a set period, usually weekly. Pays nothing in a period you finish ahead, which makes it worth less than an equivalent rakeback rate at the same headline percentage.
Lossback
Cashback under another name, sometimes applied to a specific game or promotion rather than to your whole account.
Net loss
Total wagered minus total returned across a period. The base that cashback and monthly bonuses are calculated from.
Expected loss
Stake multiplied by house edge. What a given volume of play is likely to cost over the long run, and the figure our calculators use when you do not supply a real loss number.
VIP transfer
A status match between operators. Your tier at one casino is used as evidence to place you at an equivalent tier at another.
Status match
The same thing as a VIP transfer. Terminology varies by operator; the mechanic does not.
Tier or rank
A rung on a casino's loyalty ladder. Higher tiers carry higher rakeback, larger reloads and, at the top, a dedicated host.
Sub-level
A step within a tier. Programs commonly split each of eight tiers into five sub-levels, producing forty or more steps in total.
XP
Experience points, the unit most programs use to measure progression. Rates differ by product: sports and esports bets often earn several times what casino play earns per dollar staked.
Level-up bonus
A one-off cash reward paid on reaching a new tier. Worth asking whether it pays on a transferred tier or only from your next natural tier onward, because several programs withhold it on transfers.
Milestone
A wager or deposit target attached to a transferred tier. Clearing it usually makes the matched rank permanent. Ask when the clock starts, because some begin at application rather than first deposit.
Reload
A bonus offered on a subsequent deposit, sized on recent activity and issued at intervals as you climb the ladder.
Playthrough or wagering requirement
How many times a bonus must be wagered before it can be withdrawn. A bonus with heavy playthrough is not equivalent to cash of the same face value.
Non-sticky bonus
Bonus funds with no wagering attached, withdrawable immediately. Rakeback and cashback are non-sticky at some operators and not at others; it is worth asking.
VIP host
A dedicated account manager, unlocked at higher tiers. The person who actually sets your terms, and the one to negotiate with.
Provably fair
A cryptographic scheme that lets a player verify a game outcome was not altered after the bet was placed. Standard on originals at crypto casinos.
KYC
Know Your Customer. Identity verification, often triggered at withdrawal or above a threshold rather than at signup.
Self-exclusion
A voluntary block on your own access to an operator or, through schemes like GamStop, to a whole licensed market. Available on request at any operator at any time.
